Forums -> Multiple monitors -> ATI Radeon 7500 refresh rate problem

I have an ATI Radeon 7500 based card and I have connected 2 CRT monitors (the second through an adapter to the DVI port).

I set them to
1st monitor: 1024x768 x 32 bit @ 100Hz
2nd monitor: 800x600 x 32 bit @ 85Hz

The refresh rates are the maximum that the monitors can handle at these resolutions.

All work fine but when I restart, the refresh rate of the first monitor is not kept and is changed to 60 Hz, so I have to change it manually to 100Hz every time I restart.

I have tried driver versions
6.13.10.6118
and
6.13.10.6166 (the latest from ATI website)
but there is no improvement.

Any idea of what may be the problem?
(os: win xp pro sp1)

Thanks,
GK.

i think, it´s quite easy. in the extended menu of the ATI-driver you find monitor (where you select the frequency) and there is a second bar called "Anzeige" (sorry - i dont know how it is called in the English version). There you see the monitors, that are connected. In this place you have to select the maximum of refreshrate your monitors are able to show. I think, you haven´t set this to the proper frequency.

Hope this could help You!
