I have used dual monitors with my laptop running win 98/me for a long time without any problems.
Now I have installed winXP pro and this feature is no longer available. Before I upgraded I had 2 monitors under display properties, I could select one and ask to stretch the desktop across both monitors- now I only have one. I have tried to update my drivers without any luck. I have also tried to reinstall win me and then everything was working fine again. Then back to winXP – same problem.
Hardware:
Laptop, Asus L7200 with Silicon Motion LynxEM

If no updated drivers are available, you could get a PCMCIA video card for the second monitor. See the laptop FAQ for more information.
