Now I don't know much about multi monitoring but when playing games, I noticed that my secondary monitor is still active. Now I don't know if this is true or not but in games such as Counter-strike or any FPS games, doesn't having the secondary monitor running while playing on the primary monitor affect your FPS? Doesn't your video card have to perform more because your secondary monitor is active?
If so, how do you run games and shut off the secondary monitor?

the secondary card handles the secondary monitor... so usually the fps is not any lower. in some cases you *may* notice a "drop" (1-2fps)

Left click on blank area on desk top>properties>settings>click on #2 monitor>Uncheck "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor". Click apply then ok.

True, but what if it's a dual-head card, such as the GeForce 4 or ATI 9000 series?
