Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Screen resolutions limited in dualview mode, calculation formula?

Hello,
I use a Geforce 2 MX 400 Twinview (32 MB, 350 MHz RAMDAC) and Windows XP. Until now, I successfully used two monitors using Windows dualview mode with the following resolutions 1. 1280x960 @85 Hz, 2. 1152x864 @85 Hz. Since I upgraded my primary monitor from 19" to 21" I wanted to switch its resolution to 1600x1200 @85 Hz but in dualview mode, its resolution is limited to 1600x1024 @60 Hz, whereas in single mode it is possible to use that resolution.
What is the limiting factor? Is it the RAMDAC or the graphic cards memory? Is there any formula how to calculate the minimum specifications a grapic cards must fulfill for my favorite resolutions? I want to be sure my new graphics (Geforce 4 Ti 2000) card can handle them.

Any hint or suggestion would be highly appreciated!
Stephan
