Hi,

Just spent a while trying, but it seems that Ultramon does not work in Windows 8.1, unless I'm doing it wrong...

1. Copy & Pasted the Target and Start In strings from an existing Chrome Shortcut into the Ultramon Application and Start In boxes.

Clicking the Ultramon Shortcut does Notingg...

PS: I chose to install only this option, yet Ultramon is showing alll the other options I cooose to not install (in the menu from taskbar icon) - a bug ?

Thanks !

I'd love to buy but all I need is to have all aps always start in my primary monitor, no matter what.

I have purchased this and also have not been able to get it to work on win 8.1 . Really like the idea and want it to work otherwise I have wasted money.

What do you have in the Application and Start In fields of the UltraMon shortcut?

For me this works fine on 64-bit Windows 8.1, the Application field was set to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe", Start In left blank as it defaults to the application folder. Chrome version used was 39.0.2171.99 m. Please note that the shortcut will only work correctly if Chrome isn't already running, otherwise it will still launch Chrome but won't position it.

If you want all applications to launch on the primary monitor, I would recommend using the PositionAllApps script instead, this will also work fine with multiple instances of Chrome. Let me know if you have any questions about setting this up.

Regarding the UltraMon menu: what options do you have listed there? Even if only the Profiles and Shortcuts feature is installed, the main UltraMon feature will still get installed which means you'll have menu options such as Display Settings, Desktop Icons, etc.
