I'm trying to get my (Jetway) Ati Radeon 7000 to work with 2 monitors. There is no problem getting them working actually, my problem is that w2k sees the 2 monitors as 1 large one and I can not set resolutions individually... I need the 21' I have to run at 1600x1200 and the other @ 1280x1024 (17') with an extended desktop. Right now what I get at 1600x1200 is that on the 17' (which is my secondary) I get a 1600x1200 desktop which I have to 'scroll through' with my mouse..while I'd like it scaled down so I have a full view on both monitors at all times.
This worked with the same hardware setup in windows 98, so I know the card is capable of this and the monitors as well - under w2k I was unable to achieve this though.
If anyone has info/drivers/tips on this....I'd be very happy.

Did you try the latest drivers? ATI has added support for independent displays on Windows 2000, at least for the Radeon 9xxx cards, not sure if it also works with earlier hardware.

driver. Someone said that I should try the 'detonator' driver...whatever that might be, because I couldn't find it.
Do NVidia drivers support Ati chip/cards do you happen to know?
