Forums -> Multiple monitors -> 2 Screens with Win2k very slow and fullscreen prob with WMP7.1

Hi!

The Problem I'm currently fighting with is the two-screen-solution of my pc.

When I got my new machine, i had my old screen standing around - i thought why not try to run 2 screens.
I bought a PCI-VGA-Card (a SIS 32MB) and installed it next to my GeForce 3 Ti 64MB.

Everything was working fine - since I recognized a little problem.

I use Winamp to listen to music - if i change the "content" of the second screen, winamp stutters.
Then i had a look at my cpu usage.
2% normal mode...
up to 60% if i move a window on my second screen or for example scroll... (sometimes i even can hear animated banners in my music [that's not funny, is it?]).

The next Problem (also mentioned in the topic) is with WMP7.1.
Besides - running a movie on the second screen, pushes the cpu usage up to a very fantastic 80%.

But the real problem is, that i cannot run a movie in fullscreen mode on the second screen. If i click "fullscreen" the movie window turns black and i have a fullscreen video -> on the primary screen.
How do i fix that?

Hope you can help me with that.

Best regards
Soeren

Oh yeah - my sysconf:
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1800+
Board: elitegroup K7S5A something like that
PrmVGA: GeForce 3 Ti 64MB
SecVGA: SIS 32 MB PCI
PrmScreen runs @ 1280 x 1024 100Hz
SndScreen runs @ 1024 x 768 85Hz
