"Due to a limitation in Windows 2000, dualhead cards that use a single chipset to drive both monitors require special workarounds in the driver to be properly recognized by the system. If these workarounds are not implemented, Windows 2000 sees a single large monitor instead of two."

This is exactly the problem I am having with my S3 Supersavage IXC running in Windows 2000 on my IBM Thinkpad T23 laptop. Can anybody tell me the special workarounds?

The workarounds mentioned need to be implemented by the driver developer. The only thing you can do is make sure you have the latest drivers installed.
