Forums -> Multiple monitors -> If I disable a HDMI/DVI-D monitor, will audio work ?

Hi,

I'm running a home theater PC on a 4K tv. To get 2160p@60hz, I need to run directly to the TV, to get HD-Audio formats, I need to run another HDMI to my AVR (that does not support 2160p@60hz).

This created a 2nd monitor in windows. Doing this causes havoc with Windows Media Center, as changing sources will cause it to hop to the other monitor, this happens 5+ times a week and is a pain to deal with.

I have been rattling my brain trying to fins something to address this issue for well over a month. Buying splitters and other stuff but, nothing has worked.

I was suggested to check out Ultra Mon and it's disable Monitor feature.

Will this software disable the display but, keep audio working, or when I disable it, it completely disables it ?

Is there a option or setting that might help me here ?

Thanks in advance !
