Hello all,
VideoSaver could be an option for us, if it would be possible to continue to playback sound from other sources like i.e. winamp or windows media player while the screen saver is launched.
Is this feature possible; if not, is it planned?

It's possible to do this, but not very intuitive: first, make sure that the Master Volume setting on the Options tab isn't set to 0%. Then set the volume setting for each video clip to 0%.
This will play the videos without sound, but won't mute audio altogether.
