Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Third video card properly installed, but....

I've recently installed a third video card in my system. The current setup
is as follows:

Primary: 3dfx V5500
Secondary: Sis6326
Other secondary (this is the latest addition): Trident 9440

Everything is working fine on the first two cards. The third card
has installed correctly and I even get a

"If you can read this message, windows has successfully initialized this display adapter"
message on the third monitor attached to that card. There is no yellow (!) mark
next to the 9440 card in the device manager.

However, when I go to display settings and click on the 3rd display
(for the trident card), it asks me "do you want to enable this monitor"?
I say yes, then click apply or ok, but the display continues to say
"If you can read this message, windows has successfully initialized this display adapter"

I've tried swapping PCI slots so that all three video cards are all next to one
another (AGP for card1, next two PCI slots for cards2&3).

I've gotten the latest 9440 driver (as far as I can tell, anyway). no difference.
I've gone into the BIOS and manually assigned different IRQs for each video card.
No difference.

Any ideas?

Just curious....do you have PCAnywhere on the system? If so, unistall it and try again.....
