Is there a way to rewind or fast forward the video so you don't have to watch it from beginning to end? A feature like that would be really great.

This isn't supported, what you can do is change to the next/previous clip using the left and right arrow keys (make sure Keyboard Controls is checked on the Options tab).
I'll consider this feature for the next release.
