I was given a Compaq Presario 6300us with integrated 810E 3D Accelerator as a gift for xmas. I popped an old S3 Trio 32/64 PCI Video Card for a Dual Monitor setup using the 810E as primary adaptor. When the older card is installed and setup the system seems alot less stable. I've noticed at least 4 or 5 crashes doing trivial stuff the last 3 days since I installed it. Do you think the lockups are related to the old S3 card? Any ideas how I could fix this?

If you haven't done this already, try setting the PCI card as the primary video card in the BIOS (see the FAQ for more information).

Well I guess I should have mentioned it but the older PCI video card won't even initalize as the secondary card, so it is already set as primary.
