Forums -> Multiple monitors -> TV maximizes to secondary monitor. How can I stop this?

I'm using a GeForce 4 Ti-4600 dual head card with a Sony 24" CRT as the primary off the VGA output and a Viewsonic 19" LCD as the secondary off the DVI output.

I just installed an old ATI TV Wonder USB tuner.
Everything works okay EXCEPT that it insists on maximizing to the secondary monitor at the same time theat it's running in a window on the primary. How can I stop it from going to the secondary monitor?

What I want to be able to do is watch TV in a small window while web surfing with IE, but still have control of my secondary monitor.

In other words, I ONLY want the small window display on the primary.

I can tell Ultramon to disable the secondary display when the tuner is running, but that's extent of what I've figured out.

Any suggestions?

I have a tv card also, and the second monitor maximising is a result of your vid card setup to overlay automatically , this needs switching off via the Nvidia Overlay Controls within the video card setup panel.

That was it. I never would have found that setting.

Thanks Max!
