Hey I've been looking for really high resolution wallpapers...
I have a 21" monitor and a 14" monitor using 1600x1200 and 1024x768 respectively..
the ones on the site are all 1024x768 and when stretched to 2624x1200, it looks really bad..

While we're at it, how about wallpaper for us very fortunate triple-monitor users! 4800x1200 please, and don't spare the 32 bit colors.

Enjoying 4800x1200 nirvana....with a headache.

hahaha with a headache is right...my suggestion is to use very dark wallpapers...

Sorry guys...nothing as tall as 1200. But I have made many dual wallpapers and a few triple and quad.
2048x768, 2560x1024, 3072x768, 3840x1024, 4096x768, 5120x1024.
I even have some odd 1538x1024 for dual rotated 1024x768 screens. However, I do not have a public website yet, and do not feel like entertaining hundreds of e-mail requests. If enough people talk to Christian Studer, maybe he could host desktop images from his site.

I've had very good luck using photos from the NASA multimedia gallery. Many of the photos they have are HUGE, and a little creative trimming results in some awesome triple-monitor backgrounds. I especially like the shot of the ISS on the horizon, with the earth below, the solar panels stretch waaaaay across.

Good luck finding more, I'm always looking...

You asked for a 4800x1200 image you can use as wallpaper. I have made one of the World Trade Center aftermath. It might not be what you want to look at all the time as a wallpaper, but it is a very interesting image and you can spend a lot of time studying the picture and looking at the devastation. The original image was 9372X9372 and is almost 15meg in size.

Go HERE! to get this and other WTC wallpapers.

Any chance you can post a 3200x1200 for dual head?

Barton: Nice WTC wallpaper. I tried it for a moment across my 2 monitors to see how it looked, but I like my relaxing nature scenes I usually have up. I used the built in NVidia feature that let me select a different wallpaper for each monitor.

Eric,

Thanks for the feedback. I must admit, I don't like it for a "constant" wallpaper, but it is very interesting to look at. You should see the original. 9372x9372, 14.7mb JPEG! The original TIFF was over 100 meg!

Jared,

The 3200x1200 is up. Enjoy!
