What is a good PCI card that supports DVI at 1600x1200? Mostly needed for 2D apps.

I can tell you what to avoid - the ATI Radeon 7500. The DVI 1600x1200 is very blurry, especially sitting next to the razor-sharp 8500DV AGP at 1600x1200.
Good luck.

ATI AIW 8500DV AGP
ATI 7500 PCI dual port (with a VERY fuzzy DVI output...)
3 Viewsonic G810 21" space heaters
Enjoying 4800x1200 nirvana....with a headache.

Correct me if im wrong but DVI is restricted to 1280x1024 ... so anything above that is some sort of interpolation ... i think.

DVi is not restricted to 1024/1280.On my Gainward GF4 (TI 4600) both of the DVI-outputs go up to 1200/1600 and there are many LCDs with a native resolution of 1200/1600.

Odd... I wonder how you get blurry digital output? At 1280x1024, my 7500 PCI's DVI output is nice and sharp.

Nick is using an analog display from his 7500 DVI, no digital.

And I can tell him how to fix it. The card is in fact an PowerColor 7500 card, resold by ATI, I believe. This is fact if it is the half-height model shown on the site.

This PowerColor card should also have TV out. If you can figure out the components, remove the components on TV-out line used for filtering. I wish I could say exactly what to remove, but I don't have the notes here wth me. This is causing the interference on the DVI's analog lines.

WHOA! Bruno: You should expand on this concept, because i believe it could solve this problem for me as well (Radeon 7500 AGP 64MB w/ blurry DVI-I->VGA->CRT output); or at least supply some links! please:)
