I'm happily running new strategy games like C&C generals and Age of Mythology on my gf4 in 2048x768 span mode, but I have a friend with a Radeon 8500, and we have tried to get the ATI-card to run in span mode with no luck. It only seems to be able to run in xp's native dualview mode, and the games don't like that.
I can't find any solution - is span mode even supported in hydravison?

Using older drivers will get you spab mode. Not having "span" is considerfed a fix, not a problem. It's mentioned in either the FAQ or other notes on this site.
