I was given an old IBM ThinkPad 770ED to use in a "permanent mount" setting for projection purposes. It has a Trident Cyber9397 video chip and will support multi-monitor using the external VGA output. Here's my problem... when I activate the second monitor, the laptop always sets the external as the #1 primary and the LCD as the secondary. I definitely want it eh other way around so I can be editing slides on the laptop LCD while projecting the active slide on the external line. I've tried re-installing adapters and everything, but it always selects the external monitor first. Any thoughts? This machine is running Win98.

Thanks!
