I have a single GeForce4 Ti 4200 64MB DDR under Windows 2000, using TwinView to drive two monitors (primary from the VGA port, secondary from the DVI port).

It works great, except for the DirectX support. If I play a game in windowed mode, it is jerky on the primary display, but runs smooth if moved to the secondary display.

When I run DXDiag, it shows two displays, but only the secondary as being hardware accelerated with D3D. The primary display shows no D3D support. The two display devices are also listed seperately in the windows hardware list.

Any advice on how I can get the primary device D3D support?

i have the same problem.
what nvidia driver version and what version of directx do you use?

I'm using the nVidia 41.09 drivers and DX 8.1

It only happens when I try to use two monitors at once. If I use a single monitor, performance is awesome. However, when I try to use dual monitors, the primary monitor shows up on dxdiag as no D3D support and is very jerky while the secondary monitor shows D3D support and works just fine.

same for me.
but my problem seems to be gone since i installed the ultramon test version.
i have all 3 acceleration modes for both displays right now. it might be gone after rebooting the system, but for now it works.
