Windows 10 just tried to update itself, but it says UltraMon 3.4.0 has to be uninstalled because of incompatibility. I stopped the update because I need my UltraMon. Any thoughts about this Windows update and UltraMon?

Are you sure you have 3.4.0 installed? This works fine with Windows 10 version 1607 and later.

Yes, I'm sure, as reported in the About window. I'll see if Windows Update complains again.

Odd issue, I have now checked on all 3 of my Windows 10 systems, all have UltraMon 3.4.0 and the KB4054517 update installed. On 2 systems UltraMon was already installed when the update got installed, on the third system UltraMon got installed after the update.
Two things you could check:
- are you using the 32-bit version of Windows/UltraMon? I have only tested with the 64-bit version
- are any compatibility settings configured for UltraMon? To check for this, go to the folder C:\Program Files\UltraMon, then right-click UltraMon.exe, select Properties from the menu and take a look at the Compatibility tab

Hi I'm having the exact same issue. Windows 10 Pro, trying to install Creators Update. Comes up saying UltraMon needs to be uninstalled because it is not compatible. Win 10 ver 1703 Ultramon 3.4.0

Alexander, I don't know why you would get the compatibility warning, but doubt that this is a real issue. I would uninstall UltraMon, update Windows and then reinstall UltraMon.
