I installed ultramon 2.1 today and it installed ok, i rebooted my system and now it wont boot up after the install of ultramon, my system just keeps rebooting, i get the windows 2000 screen with the progress bar, the progress bar goes to the end and when it get's the point where is switches res the machine reboots.
someone help please as this is my dev machine at work.
I'm running win2k pro sp3

Also i've booted up into safe mode and tried uninstalling ultramon but the windows installer service wont start so i cannot uninstall it, and i've also tried "last known good config" aswell
but still no luck

To disable UltraMon, boot in safe mode, then delete the UltraMon shortcut in Start menu > Programs > Startup. This way UltraMon will no longer start automatically.
My guess would be that it's an issue with the mirror driver though. To prevent the mirror driver from getting loaded, go to Control Panel and open the System applet, select the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager. Select View\Show hidden devices from the menu, then disable the UltraMon Display Mirror Driver from the Display Mirror Driver group. You can also do this in safe mode.
I'm not sure what the problem is, I have used a G450 myself and didn't have any problems. If you want to do some troubleshooting, try the following: open the System applet, then open settings for Startup and Recovery. Uncheck 'Automatically restart'. The next time the system crashes, you'll get an error screen with the error message and the driver which caused the problem, instead of the system rebooting automatically.
