Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Blurring with Matrox cards on text busy websites

Good day all,

I have several machines with the same problem, they all blur the web site you are on when you scroll up or down in Internet explorer. The common factors in all machines are:

1. Windows 2000
2. Matrox cards

Some machines have a 200 quad card, others a G450 dual and others 3 single millennium cards. All Matrox, all blur on text busy sites.

Some machines have LCD and some CRT for monitors and all run different resolutions. If I take a machine with a problem and switch to another brand of card (ANYTHING not Matrox), the problem goes away.

The highest end system is: DUAL 1.8 Ghz, 10K RPM SCSI drives and 1 Gig RAM (DELL Precision)
The lowest end system is: Single 500 Mhz, 4 Gig drive, 256K RAM (Home Made PC, all custom parts from the time)

Either way, the systems should be able to run Internet Explorer (5.5 on one, 6 on the other).

Any thoughts?

George

Have you tried turning off "Smooth Scrolling" in I.E?

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced

Not a hardware solution but....
