Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Radeon 9000 or 9100 for two monitor display?!?!

I hope someone can help me because I'm rather confused.

I've just bought a new 17" TFT to go with my olc 17" CRT monitor and want to set up a dual monitor config. I want good 2d quality (graphic/web design) but do also play the occsional game of UT2003 :-)

I'm looking for a graphics card on a budget, the Radeon 9000 and 9100 both seem good value and from some research it seems that both are capable of dual monitor support. Anyone know which card would be best? I'm using windows XP pro BTW. I've read about the 9100 actually being a re-brand of the 8500 and about in having two texture units per pipeline which is better of a dual set up than the 9000's 1. I'm new at this multimonitor business and would appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thanks a lot

Dan

I saw a similar question posted on another forum last week
on that forum they conducted a poll, most people agreed to go with a 128mb DDR Radeon9000/Pro
But that person was decieding between a 128mb Radeon9000 or a 64mb Radeon 9100.

If you can get a 128mbDDR 9100, run with that, if not appartenlty your better to go with the 9000. Thats what ive got, cant complain games all run great, dual monitor setup is going nicely, even tv out is good fun and quality, and for a pretty descent price.

Thanks a lot. I've gone with a 128MB Radeon 9000 Pro, I got a good deal on it and it seems to do everything I need.
