I might be the only one who has noticed this, but has anyone else had issues with Graphics in Windows XP, and even sometimes harddrive activity slowing down when using MultiMonitor with Windows XP.

I have also noticed a massive increase in memory used when I have multimonitors on. IE goes from a single monitor useage of 157megs to over 300megs with multimonitor support enabled.

I'm asking because I have had to stop using Multimonitor because of this issue. I have tried it on a couple of computers now with the same affect. After enabling Multimonitor through the Analog and Digital Out ports on the Geforce 4 ti4200 my system gets sluggish, and slow in places.

I have 768 megs of memory, and a AMD 1800XP. I have a VIA Chipset motherboard.

Hope someone has any ideas, because I am out of them.

Regards

I haven't noticed any slowdown in Windows 2000 with dual monitors on my Ti4200. Though I use Mozilla, and not IE. I have dual P-3/500's with 512.Meg RAM.
