I'm finally getting around to upgrading my W98 desktop to XP Pro.
Are there any issues regarding UltraMon that I should be aware of before proceeding?
TIA.

If you do an upgrade instead of a clean install, you should uninstall UltraMon before upgrading to XP, then install it again after XP has been installed.
This is necessary because there are actually two different versions of UltraMon, one for Windows 98/Me, one for Windows 2000/XP (with additional components).
If you want to backup your current settings and files (display profiles, shortcuts and wallpapers):
- open regedit.exe, select the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon', then choose File\Export from the menu to save the settings to a .reg file. Repeat this for the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon'
- to see which directories you'll need to backup, take a look at the following registry entries:
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Wallpaper', 'Wallpaper Directory'
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Wallpaper', 'All Users Wallpaper Directory'
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Shortcuts', 'Profile Directory'
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Shortcuts', 'Shortcut Directory'
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Shortcuts', 'Shell Shortcut Directory'

Thanks, Christian. I'll just do the re-install, no need to save anything.
Ciao...
