I was the lone multi-monitor user at work, and the very last of 200 users to upgrade from Win 98 to Win 2K Pro for that very reason. Even the techno gadgeteers do not understand why I don't want to use Alt-Tab to switch between applications. They just don't understand us!!
Alas, I am now "upgraded". My IBM T20 (S3 Savage IX) no longer seems to be able to manage multi-monitor support under Win2K, though the FAQ here seems to indicate it can. I downloaded the AGP drivers from S3 but so far no luck. I haven't given up; if any multimon users out there run an IBM S3-videoed laptop with one card, and no docking station (port replicator only) on Win2k (not XP) please let me know.
My next challenge is convince our IT department that I "need" a 2nd card (Appian or suchlike). Any recommendations from anyone?
