I leave my Windows 10 PC running, with the SSD
drive ... I've been using Ultramon, latest version
for over a decade, i have the latest version 3.4.1
Just lately, December on, when I sit down and activate the PC from sleep or standby the upper
monitor (vertical stack 2 HP w2207's) is dark
while the lower monitor #2 is active ...nothing
seems to get the upper monitor going except a
'restart' whereby my browser tabs in Chrome are
lost.
This is a new issue, I've had this PC well over a year now with flawless Ultramon performance.

Might be due to a display driver update, not sure what else would cause this.
Did you try re-enabling the monitor via UltraMon (UltraMon menu > Display Settings) or Windows (UltraMon menu > Windows Display Properties)?

Thank you for posting suggested fixes ... I will try them when I can ... driver updates, etc. now the PC
seems to work OK if i wait a few minutes for
Screen 1 the upper 27 incher to finally "light up'
and operate.
Two occurrences of that.

First, try checking for any graphics driver updates, as these can often resolve monitor wake-up issues. Sometimes, Windows updates or changes in power settings can affect how external displays behave. In your case, I’d also suggest adjusting the sleep settings for your monitors or even disabling them during sleep mode, if possible.
Another thing to try is going into your device manager and disabling the monitor that's causing the issue, then re-enabling it without restarting. This might help "wake it up" without needing a full restart. If Ultramon settings got reset during a Windows update, it’s worth re-checking those, as they could be contributing to the issue.
