can someone help me get my desktop to span both monitors
i have an ati 8500
and it dosen't seem like it is possible to have just one huge desktop i mean like 2048x768
instead of 2 1024x768 desktops ...
any help would be super :D
I have done this before but for some reason i can't remem how todo it again :(

Don't you just have to highlight the 2nd display in the display properties then check extend my windows desktop onto this monitor.

no that just joins the 2 screens together...
but it dosen't actually span the entire desktop
