Forums -> UltraMon™ -> windows-taskbar doesn't show active programs

hi y'all,
a week ago i attached a (borrowed) second monitor to my radeon 9000 card to check out multi-monitoring. i messed around with all kinds of tools, including hydravision and ultramon. anyways... after a while (i don't know what exactly i did before things got messy) the windows taskbar didn't show the active programs anymore. only the taskbar that was added to the second monitor by multimon was displaying all applications correctly.
the whole windows task-area seems to be gone now. even the little gripper (the one you usually see on the right side of the quicklaunch area) is gone (no, the taskbare is not fixed). i also noticed, that the windows taskbar can't be moved anymore - resizing still works fine.
by now i don't have the second monitor anymore. i can only switch applications using [alt]+[tab]. this sucks! :(
i don't know if this has anything to do with ultramon (probably not, i even tried to uninstall unltramon... it didn't help) - but any tips would be greatly appreciated...

thanks in advance.

That's most likely not related to UltraMon, unfortunately I have no idea what would cause this.

Uninstalling UltraMon will fix any potential issues, UltraMon doesn't make any changes to the configuration of the Windows taskbar.

Have you tried unistalling and reinstalling the graphics card?

Worth a try

yeah, reinstalling my ati-drivers solved the problem. damn, it really sucks not to have a taskbar :)

thanks y'all!

well, actually it only helped for a short while... it disappeared again after the next reboot. damn, i guess i'll just reinstall windows to put an end to this.
