Hi,
first - sorry if this has been asked before. Well, I do have problems with overlay and UltraMon. When I deactivate the 2nd Monitor and reactivate it later, the overlay does not work properly anymore. I have to reastart the PC to watch any kind of movie files... Is there a way to "aktivate" Overlay again when 2nd monitor was deactivated?
Thanks, Christian
p.s.: Excuse the bad English, it's late and I'm tired :D

That's most likely an issue with the video card drivers.
To verify this, check if you have the same problem when disabling/re-enabling the secondary monitor manually using Display Properties ('Extend my Windows desktop...' checkbox).
BTW, there's a German forum as well now, see the German version of the UltraMon site.

I've been having the exact same issues. Using the 44.67 Dets. I've got an FX series on my primary, and an GF4 MX on secondary feeding both a monitor and a TV (setup with dualview, so 3 logical displays) When I disable all of the displays on the secondary card and enable any one of them again overlays do not work, but only on the primary card. This happens whether I do it by hand or by Ultramon.
When I try and start a video WMP tries to find a codec online (which thru an unrelated issue I found out in this case it's trying to find a filter that will allow for two video instances to use video overlays at once, and fails) then it continues to play the video in software mode. The funny thing is when i move the video window to my secondary display it seems that overlays work again, judging by CPU load and picture quality after resizing the image.
Rebooting solves the problem untill the second card is disabled again. Reloading the primary display drivers thru RivaTuner does not fix the problem. I've also found that by randomly changing the primary display and disabeling screens eventually overlays return. Like I'll change the primary display to my first display on the second card, then disable the first monitor, the reload my default setup thru ultramon, sometimes it works sometimes it dosent. Sometimes I'll disable the first screen, then enable it again, and then set it to be primary, then that will work.
Now if only I could fix my OGL issues :/
