Hi,
Any chance that you could include sone sort of a patcher, so that one could switch the Primary Monitor even on boxes which report the second monitor as detachable?
I'm running UltraMOn successfully on my Toshiba Tecra 8200, which services an external 19" monitor as my main monitor when I'm in the office. The dual setup of WinXP works without any problems, and together with your product almost all nuiances are solved; only that most windows first pop up on the smaller laptop monitor.
Thus if you could get that one solved...

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it for a future release.
BTW, can you enable the secondary monitor using UltraMon?
Another user with a Tecra 8200 (Trident Cyberblade XP video chipset) has the problem that UltraMon fails to enable the secondary monitor.

Yeah that would be great. I'm thinking of buying a video PC Card so I can have a true dual monitor with an external keyboard. (Using the built-in laptop display with an external keyboard is kind of awkward.

yes, I'm using your software (although stil in testmode ) sucessfully on both monitors (laptop and external).
