I'm just getting started with a dual monitor setup. I have not tried UltraMon yet. Before I do, I was just wondering whether there might be a conflict between it and Button Boogie, a utility I have installed on my Win 98 computer; it allows me to re-arrange buttons on the taskbar.

If you want to use the Smart Taskbar feature, a conflict is possible, but it depends on how Button Boogie works.

Most likely it won't make much sense to use both the Smart Taskbar and Button Boogie, UltraMon will split the tasks between the different taskbars, and Button Boogie most likely won't be able to arrange task buttons on the UltraMon taskbars.

If you have a link to the website for Button Boogie I can give it a try, I haven't been able to find the website through Google.

I got Button Boogie from PC Magazine online; see http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,8080,00.asp. When I got it, it was free. They now charge a fee to download utilities.

I understand UltraMon would allow me to create taskbars on additional monitors, but will it allow me to arrange the sequence of taskbar tabs on a given monitor?

UltraMon doesn't support moving of taskbar buttons.

I would suggest giving it a try, if you experience problems you will need to disable ButtonBoogie or the Smart Taskbar (under UltraMon Options > Smart Taskbar).

Could this behaviour be included in Ultramon? I would like to have it for all taskbars.

It would also be nice to be able to drag'n drop BETWEEN the taskbars.

I'll consider it for a future release.

Would you want the ability to move tasks between taskbars for applications whose task buttons don't get positioned correctly by UltraMon?

No, I don't think it places the tasks in the wrong taskbar often enough to bother with.

But I _would_ like to be able to rearrange the buttons within a taskbar (i.e, the mailreader allways the first task in the taskbar on primary screen.

Also, instead of using the "jump to next screen" button on the window, it would be nice to be able to drag the task from one taskbar to another, putting the task in the right place in the new taskbar immediately.

As it is now, I sometimes move apps to another screen, and then back again, to make them become the last task in that taskbar. If I do that with all apps that is before the mail app, the mail app will eventually be the first app in the taskbar. Would be much nicer to just drag the task button :)

Thanks.
