-Sorry for my bad English, I'm German!-

My problem:
I have a notebook (Toshiba Satellite 1700-400) with an ATI Rage Mobility - Card. I have the normal notebook screen and a Philips Brillance 107 on the VGA port. After I have installed ultramon the message, that only one monitor was found. The program does not find the monitor. What can I do ?

Matthias,

I have looked all over the net to try and find the specs for your pc and have been unsuccessful.

I bet the problem is that your PC does not support dual monitors. Most laptops don't. The VGA out is only for an optional display, not dual monitors. If you hook up a monitor, usually "CTRL+F8" will switch between the laptop display and the monitor. No software will "enable" dual monitors. This is a limitation of the hardware.

If anyone else has ideas, please...

The notebook may use Rage Mobility L which does not support dual screen, just mirrored VGA out. Otherwise it should support it on Windows 98.
