I have a 19" monitor running at 1280x1024 and a 17" monitor at 1024x768. I would like to change the 17" to 1280x1024 to match the primary monitor but when i do, it still only displays 1024x768 but the screen 'scrolls' when i touch the edge with the mouse. My video card is a Radeon 7500. Does anyone know what causes this and if there is any way to stop it from happening?

What driver version are you using?
The driver is most likely not allowing a higher resolution due to the information it reads from the monitor. What is the frequency limit on the monitor or what is the monitor make/model?

I have a Tatung 19" and a Mitsubishi Diamond scan 17" monitor, both of which are running off an ATI radeon 9500 card.
