Master of a lot but this problem 2003-09-09 11:58
I have searched through the archives but have not found a problem quite like mine. I am running XP and have been trying to get my second monitor to work. I have a PCI video card #2 and my motherboard card #1. #1 Works fine but nothing on #2 so I went into the bios and changed the primary view to Auto. Upon reboot, i get the initial screen on monitor #2 and nothing on #1 after the initial boot screen monitor #2 blanks out and then i get nothing. I take the card out of the slot and monitor #1 works fine again. HELP!!! it is driving me crazy!!

Usually the motherboard's onboard video is automatically disabled whenever it finds another video card in the PCI or AGP slot. There's not much you can do about it unfortunalely.

Actually, in your bois you need to set which card to boot with. If you have onboard video, you can not add a AGP card as your second card, because your onboard vid will not work.
