I plan on running 4 video cards/8 monitors. 1 AGP and 3 PCI. Here are the cards:PNY nvidia geforce4 ti 4600(AGP),PNY Geforce fx 5200 DDR(pci), Two Geforce2 mx-400 family(PCI). These all are dual-mon cards.
I bought a Dell 450 Precision Workstation last week, and added these cards, only to have what I think are possible motherboard and PSU (350) shortfalls causing crashes of program to often. Also, the PCI area is like a can of sardines(never seen PCI's this close before!I would say almost rendering the card fans useless) so small and the card area heats up fast and gets hot in minutes, with no cooling set-up or space for fans to add. I am not a gamer...Equities Trader.... ANY and all suggestion would be great, I can send this baby back no problem, they will take it. This is the only site that I was very impressed by the knowledge of multi-mon!
Here are my PC specs: Note: I pulled the ATI.

Definately sounds like you need a motherboard with more PCI slots so you can space the cards for better airflow. You could also replace 2 of the cards with one 4-output card to get better airflow.
Another option might be to try to underclock the video cards to get the heat down. Maybe some of the overclocking utilities can also underclock the video cards.
Also, have you installed the latest NVidia drivers? You only need to install one set of drivers since you have all NVidia based cards.
And finally, you could cut a hole in the side of the case, and put a fan there, but you wouldn't want to void your warranty.

Also, if you have dual CPU's and 4 video cards, a 350.W PS might not cut it. Maybe you could install a high quality, multi-fan 450.W unit.
