Forums -> Multiple monitors -> DVI output dropped on reboot

Hi,
I have a Geforce FX 5600 with vga and DvI. I'm running windows XP Sp1 with detonator 45.23
The vga goes to a small display on a lecture stand and the Dvi outputs to a projector.
The Nview display settings are to clone and all is fine.
The problem comes when rebooting,
if the projector is not powered on before the PC, then the clone settings are dropped as the card does not detect the second display plugged into DVI.
our system uses an automated sequence from the lecture stand to power up multiple devices including consoles/dvd/vhs etc. unfortunately the dvi connector to the card doesn't seem to be giving the gfx card what it need in enough time.
Any ideas how I can force windows/nview to keep the settings regardless if the projector is on. and ensure the displays are cloned on reboot.

thanks.

No ideas from me, but if you find a good solution, please let us all know. That would be useful information.
