I'm just wondering if you guys could add an option to move the smart taskbar. Normally I like the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and will never move it. The problem now though is my 3rd monitor is above my first monitor. So i'd like to put the smart taskbar off to one of the sides rather then the bottom of the screen because with it at the bottom of the screen it's sort of hard to use since I auto hide it and now I need to stop my mouse on that exact like 3 pixel high line in order to make it come up.

So if you guys could please add the ability to move the smart taskbar to any of the four sides of the screen. Thanks. :)

To move an UltraMon taskbar to a different screen edge, first right-click a free area on the taskbar and make sure that 'Lock Taskbar' isn't checked.

Once the taskbar is unlocked, grab the bottom-right corner of the taskbar with the mouse and drag it to the desired edge. You can also move the taskbar to a different monitor.

If you have arranged your monitors in multiple rows, and would like taskbars only at the bottom of the bottom row of monitors: right-click the taskbars you no longer want to use and select Close from the menu. Then right-click the taskbar you want to handle tasks from this monitor, select 'Show Tasks from' from the menu, and add the additional monitor.

For example with 6 monitors arranged in 2 rows (2 rows x 3 columns), you could have 3 taskbars, one on each monitor of the second row, each handling tasks for one column of monitors.

Thanks for the help. I should have been able to find that myself. I feel a little stupid for asking now. :)

Anyways works great, keep up the great work.

I had the same problem -- I think at 1600x1200 the little grippy-dots in the corner are too fuzy to be seen in the bottom right-hand corner. Perhaps it would be a good idea in future versions to make the grip-spot more visible, or else make the smart bar like the regular XP bar in that you can grab it anywhere to move it.

Thanks!

I'll look into that for UltraMon 3, one option might also be to add a menu item for moving the taskbar to a different monitor/edge.
