I`ve got a similar problem es described a few threads below.
The smart taskbar on the second monitor works just fine, if I show explicitly the smart taskbar for the first monitor all task buttons will appear, but none of them will ever be visible in the original XP Taskbar on monitor 1 !

If you have two monitors, you would usually use the Windows taskbar for one monitor and one UltraMon taskbar for the other.
If you have two UltraMon taskbars, just right-click the one which is on the same monitor as the Windows taskbar and select 'close only this taskbar' from the dialog.
The Windows taskbar will then again show tasks from the monitor it is on.

:O) that`s the way it should be and I´ve tried it, but on close of the smart taskbar the buttons will not apear on the original windows taskbar...

Check if the remaining UltraMon taskbar is configured to show tasks from both monitors. To do this, right-click the UltraMon taskbar and take a look at the 'Show Tasks from' setting.
You can also create a new default configuration for the Smart Taskbar using the procedure described in the FAQ.

well.....even if I uninstall the smart Taskbar pr the whole ultramon product the application buttons will not appear in the windows taskbar...
Please describe the registry keys your product references to so that I can cleen the registry manually...

Unfortunately I don't know what would cause this, but UltraMon doesn't make any changes to registry settings related to the Windows taskbar.
