I have a compaq presario PIII/550mhz with an Intel(R)810e chipset graphics driver that currently runs a 15" TFT LCD. I am considering a dual monitor setup and I dont know what graphics card to get and how many mb's of video memory. Any suggestions based on compatibility of existing video card? thanks for the help

You'll probably need a dual-output card. The onboard video is not likely to work with a second video card. Also, if you don't have an AGP slot, you'll need a PCI card.
There are some nice dual-out NVidia based cards that are under $100.
Try NewEgg.com.
