Tried connecting 2nd 21" monitor to the DVI port on my new Quadro 2 card under W2K. It doesn't detect it regardless of my endless trying this and that. Went to the nVidia web site and the product description for this card is that it can handle 2x CRTs if you have a 2nd DAC.
Ok, what the heck is this all about? Where do I get a 2nd DAC? No, Nvidia don't mention how to buy one, and the card is from HP (but it isn't OEM'd, it's a pure nVidia card) who know absolutely nothing about this issue.
What's strange is that I've never seen anyone else mention the need for a 2nd DAC when talking about multi-monitor issues, so do I really need it?
