Hi i use a antisoftware program called NOD32
http://www.nod32.com/home/home.htm
its a great av but it doesnt work with ultramon. When i have ultramon installed it causes the Background scanning and active monitoring of my antivirus to not load and i cannot load it if ultramon is installed. I've isolated the problem to ultramon because i've uninstalled ultramon and the AV software works again after rebooting.

As a workaround, delete the UltraMon shortcut in Start menu > Programs > Startup, and start UltraMon manually after NOD32 has been started.
AMON works fine if UltraMon is started after NOD32. I tested with NOD32 2.0 on Windows XP.
You should also contact ESET support and ask them to look into this. They should be able to determine what feature of UltraMon causes a problem for AMON.
