Had 1024x768, font size 150 (not large, LARGER :-).
Started sitting farther from the monitor (got a keyboard tray). Changed to 800x600 on both displays. Set font to 125.
Changed went find. However, when opening a specific application suddenly the old 1024x768 resolution is restored (but NOT the older font size of 150%). Closing the application restores the newer resolution.
I suspect this behaviour is by (UltraMon's) design, but even if so, I don't think it's correct. If I decide to change the settings, I want the settings to CHANGE!

Most likely you have assigned custom display settings for the application's shortcut.
To fix this, right-click the shortcut, select Properties, go to the UltraMon - Window tab and uncheck 'use custom settings'.

Thanks - I've identified this custom setting. However, I'm quite sure _I_ haven't assigned this custom setting. Somehow, during the installation or upgrade, I think it has been set by itself!
