im trying to connect 2 monitors to my geforce 3 so i can use it for work. in the back there is a vga input and a dvi input. Both my monitors are analog. Would it be better for me to connect both monitors to the vga input with a vga y splitter cable, or one to the vga input and one to the dvi input with the use of an adaptor cable? I know my card supports 2 monitors and i have nview installed. I need to know so i know which cable to buy. any help is much appreciated. -ils

If your card truely supports dual monitors (I've heard most GeForce3 cards don't), then you probably just need a DVI-VGA adapter, which is $8 shipped from NewEgg. Their adapter is listed as an ATI adapter, but brand of adapter doesn't matter. I use that same adapter on my GeForce4 Ti4200 card.

If you use a Y-adapter, both monitors will display the exact same thing (of course), and I'm not sure how well a Y-adapter will work, if it works at all.
