I am using two monitors with my laptop (ATI Mobility 7500 GFX). One is the laptops TFT the other an external TFT. This works fine with Windows 2000. However, the laptop monitor has a resolution of 1024x768, the external TFT 1280x1024. The system can only run with the same resolution on both monitors. So I wanted to run 1280x1024 on both. This results in a virtual desktop on the laptop monitor. When I move the mouse around, the screen pans.
What I would like is to lock the panning so I see the lower, right part of the virtual desktop regardless of mouse movements.
Can UltraMon help me here? And if not, is this a planned feature or should I look elsewhere (haven't found it anywhere yet).
TIA,

UltraMon won't help with this, the display driver would need to provide such an option.
I'm not aware of any third-party software which could do this.

BTW, one solution would be to install XP, you could then run the monitors at different resolutions.

Unfortunately, my company does not (yet) allow WinXP. I think that nVidia display drivers support this option, but I cannot find it in ATI.
I guess I will have to stick with the fuzzy 1024x768 on my external TFT if I want to use dual monitors..
Thanks for your replies.
