Ok, I have a few posts that may sound like I am complaining but I like the program I just want to do the eval justice before I buy several copies and recomend it to my team/co-workers.

I had mentioned in other posts that programs seem to fire up on random monitors regardless of how you fire them up. Command line or shortcut on either destop.

I now have learned about creating shortcuts and the UltraMon settings tabs in the shortcut properties and though I don't like it, I think I now see that the above behaviour is not random.

So, I force notepad (using script or shortcut) to open on monitor 2. Now at a command prompt, notepad will then forever fire up on monitor until I I force it to open on monitor 1. Then it will always fire up on monitor 1 until...well, you see.

What I would like to see is that unless I am explicitly telling something to fire up on my non-primary monitor, I want it to fire up on my primary monitor.

Contrary to popular belief, 'Real Men' use a command prompt and I find it irritating to run a scipt or command and have to look for the GUI or MsgBox or whatever on another monitor.

Is this supported or just the nature of the game?

Thanks and sorry for the long post-ck

UltraMon currently doesn't support this, to open every application on the primary monitor you would need to customize every application shortcut.

Global application positioning rules will be considered for UltraMon 3.

Most applications remember their position, and will open on the same monitor the next time they are started (Word, Notepad, ...). One application which doesn't do this is Calculator, seems to get opened on the monitor with the mouse.
