I cannot seem to make my external monitor the primary monitor; when I go into Ultramon's display properties and select display#2 and check the "primary" check box and hit apply, nothing happens (I get the message "do you want to save these changes...", but even when I say yes, monitor#1 is still the primary).
Is this a limitation with Windows XP?

You'll need to click on No, otherwise the previous settings will be restored.
UltraMon uses a different confirmation dialog than Windows Display Properties (due to the Restore Later option).
