The latest system crash caused by yet another 'great' driver release from Nvidia has me looking once again for a better solution.

- it should be 100% stable, not a single bluescreen ever
- excellent video playback
- decent 3D performance
- supports hibernation

If anyone is using such a system (preferably with Win2000), let me know!

My current system. BTW, the Permedia2 works flawlessly.

Hi!

I am using a Diamond Viper V770 TNT2 AGP as my primary card, and a Geforce2 MX PCI as my secondary. Both cards use nvidia 6.31 drivers. So far it has been very stable. I only get opengl hardware acceleration on the primary, but that's no biggie (I'm planning on upgrading to a geforce3 as soon as it's available =)

I've experienced lockups after intensive use though, but I suspect that's more due to heat buildup between the cards or something like that than due to system instability.

I find it very strange that nvidia hasn't fixed their multimonitor problems in the newer drivers. Since they've had it working earlier, how come it doesn't now? The only reason I can see is that it is broken, and since noone complains they don't bother fixing it. So I'm going to complain a bit and see what they say =)
