hello gang !

i just got a new comp.
whit a video card on motherboard
jumper is off
and got a video card in agp slot

can i reactivate the onboard video
and run dual mon. ?????

sorry for my english !

No. The onboard is also AGP, and only one AGP device can run at a time.

If your AGP video card has dual-outputs, then you can connect 2 monitors to it, otherwise, you can add a PCI video card.

Hi!
I just found an article in Tom's hardware where there was an on board chip functioning together with ATI's dual head graphics card!

Anyone know how this is done?? would be very interested to know any inputs and ideas on this one!

It's done with PCI Express, which is the upcoming replacement for AGP. The initial PCI Express bus release will be twice as fast as 8x AGP, and can support multiple cards. The NVidia site has lots of info.
