This is my trick to run Slideshow as a screensaver.
I installed a program called Demosaver (freeware) and use it to launch a BAT file with the command line auguments for Slideshow.
Note: To add a BAT extension to Demosaver in the Filename text box type *.* [enter] to show all files in the directory view.
